SWEDEN
A shining gem among the European heavy weight destinations, Sweden with its magical pine forests, serene lakes, calm country side and wilderness is a must visit place. Places such as Skane showcasing “Turning Turso” in Malmo or Kalmar showcasing kingdom of crystals consisting of glass works show how divine and exciting things this country holds.
Famous country side areas and islands such as Vimmerby, Oland and Gotland should be visited atleast once with the family. Activities such as stalking wolves or aurora in the north or attending the Sami festivals or skating in frozen lakes in the south are worth a try.
Sweden contains a number of cities renowned for its unique art and architecture waiting to be encapsulated in one’s eyes. Stockholm being the royal capital of the country is also known as “Venice of the North” and is considered one of the most beautiful city in Scandinavia.
Winter and summer both count as the best time to visit Sweden! January and February offer winter wonders: stalking wolves and aurora in the north plus Sami festivals; skating frozen lakes in the south. June to August brings long warm sunny days for exploring islands and lakes, or scoffing seafood in ravishing coastal villages. October offers autumn colour and a dramatic thinning of crowds, while December is a season of celebratory hot spiced wine and cosy candle-lit interiors.
